A Family Business Built on Love for Animals

Luv & Care Pet Services was started in 2014 by Craig Leland, who turned his love for animals into a way to help local families care for their pets. From the beginning, Craig believed that pets were family and deserved the same love, attention, and respect we would give our own.

That philosophy has always been at the heart of Luv & Care. It isn't just about feeding a pet or letting a dog outside. It's about building trust, learning each pet's personality, and making sure they feel safe and cared for while their people are away.

Craig's love for animals went beyond caring for clients' pets. He and his family were also foster parents for Small Paws Rescue, opening their home to dogs who needed a safe place while waiting for their forever families. Through fostering, Craig saw firsthand the patience, resilience, and unconditional love that rescue animals bring into our lives. Some of those fosters even became permanent members of the family.

Continuing a Family Tradition

In 2024, Craig's niece, Alisa Leoni, joined Luv & Care and began learning the business while bringing her own lifelong love of animals into the company. When Craig decided it was time to retire and enjoy more time with family, he passed Luv & Care into Alisa's care, keeping the business in the family.

For Alisa, continuing Luv & Care is about more than taking over a business. It's about carrying forward something Craig built with care and continuing the same level of compassion that clients and their pets have come to know.

Alisa has also been involved with rescue through Small Paws Rescue and has adopted rescue dogs of her own. She has a special soft spot for senior pets, shy pets, and animals who simply need a little extra patience and understanding.
